Jeannie KNOWS exactly what she is doing! I had four pairs of jeans that needed to be taken in at the waist. They had to be taken down three pants sizes and Jeannie was able to do a fantastic job! The pants fit so perfectly in the end. And her prices are very reasonable. For the amount of work she had to do for my pants, I would expect to pay more. But that wasn't the case. And Jeannie herself is so very welcoming! Genuine person with a sweet personality and great customer service. She really makes sure that all her work caters to each individual customer. Definitely going back to her for alterations!

Not all heroes wear capes!! Jeannie saved the day for me. I waited until the last second to try and fit into my bridesmaid dress and failed. I called her on Saturday and left a message begging for help. She called me back within 5 minutes and I explained I needed my dress let out and I needed it by Tuesday night as I was leaving town for the wedding. She didn't hesitate for a second and told me to come in Sunday morning and she would get it done. I don't believe anybody else would've taken on a job like this with such a tight deadline. She had to basically remake the back of my dress because the original dress maker left little to no fabric to allow the dress to be brought out. She did fantastic work and nobody knew any difference. She worked long hours getting the rest of her work orders done and fitting mine in. I left her shop at 11 p.m. on Tuesday night one grateful bridesmaid. Thank you Jeannie!!

Jeannie did a perfect job on my wedding dress. I needed the hemline shortened and the shoulder straps shortened as well. My dress had beading at the top, so that was a little more complicated. I was moving soon, so she was able to complete all the required alterations by the next afternoon. The dress looked perfect. You honestly can't tell she had to undo and redo the beading around the top. The alterations were totally seamless. I highly recommend her services to anyone who needs alterations.

Jeannie saved my wedding (which sounds dramatic, but is so true). 6 days before my wedding, I tried on my dress and found it was way too big (I'd lost some weight). I called her in a panic and she was able to squeeze me in the next morning, make some pretty major alterations in the next 48 hours, and have my dress fitting great by the following day. She even sent it off to get pressed before the big day! I would not have felt as comfortable and beautiful at my wedding without her help. Plus, she is so kind and such a calming presence -- I highly recommend her expertise!

I needed my work uniform fixed the same day..I called Jeannies alterations on a Sunday AND during a holiday weekend and she not only got my uniform done in one day, she did an amazing job and she is by far the best I've ever seen. I would 110% recommend. She will be the only place that i will go from now on. She is so friendly and her work amazing.

A while back, I had my suit pants hemmed by Jeannie and she did wonderful job. I recently returned to have my suit jacket sleeves shortened and I am still impressed by her work. She is the only place I trust to do alterations on my expensive clothing. I believe she also makes custom dresses which is pretty amazing as well. I definitely recommend her if you need any formal wear alterations.

I have a fairly rare animal skin jacket, the kind that would likely piss off PETA nut cases if they could tell what it actually was. Well, it got a huge rip by the pocket on a fun day down in Texas. But I always kept it because it had been a gift.

A few years later I wore it again and what happens? The rip got caught on something and totally ripped open worse. Looked like a total loss but I wasn't done with it yet.

Jeannie's picked it up and sent it down to Stockton to a specialist and had it repaired to order for a tiny fraction of what the jacket originally cost and you can't buy these anymore. (Maybe thanks to PETA nut cases).

Jeannie is incredible at what she does, and she's one of the kindest people I know. She took my idea for my madrigal dress and made my dream into a reality. Every detail of the dress was exactly as I wanted, and she went above and beyond to make me ideas even better than I imagined, such as adding some trim to make the sleeves even more lovely, and pleats to make the trim easier to see on the skirt (after discussing it with me, or course!) She also did an incredible job altering my prom dress. If you are searching for a seamstress, Jeannie is the best person to go to!

Jeannie is a life saver! Two of my four bridesmaids live out of state so the only time we could get their dresses altered was a month before the wedding when they were here for my shower. Not only did Jeannie get all their measurements right the first time, but she is so reasonably priced! She is so incredibly sweet and works so hard to make sure that every she fixes is perfect! I've never altered any of my clothing, so I did a little research and I'm glad I found Jeannie. I asked her to hem the cuffs on my jacket and she suggested I taper the length just a bit, something I didn't think I should do or could be done. I was so worried about the end result because the material was sort of a wind breaker material, very delicate but what was I thinking? Jeannie is a pro! Jeannie is kind, friendly, and personable. She is quick to respond to messages and is extremely hard-working - when we met her, she had been up literally all night long working on dresses. She altered my bridesmaid dress for me for my friend's wedding, and it fit perfectly after she was done. She also noticed immediately that one of my shoulders is higher than the other - how perceptive! I plan to take my wedding dress to her for alterations.

If there is any tailoring or design you want, I absolutely recommend Jeannie! She's so sweet and happy to help you in whatever way you need (: I brought my white jumpsuit in for a hem and thought I'd need to find an undergarment especially for the chest, but nope! If I could give 6 stars, I would! Jeannie did an awesome job helping alter my bridesmaid dress for a wedding in Jamaica. It looked and felt great on once she was done working her magic on it. Besides her work, she has great customer service, is friendly, responsive, and prices are fair. I live in Davis and have been to other places and they just don't compare. After finding her, I won't need to look any further! I already plan to bring a few other things to her.

I agree with the reviews that Jeanne really goes above and beyond. I had a rug that needed to be shortened and took it to her to see if it was possible. She was confident that she could shorten it and the finished product turned out great. I have also used her to hem party dresses as well.

Came in for a hem for my motorcycle jeans. Simple work but the process was quick and easy with Jeanie. You pay when the job is done and tells you the price up front. She is kind, polite and attentive to your alteration desires. She even told me that if I did not like the hem, she would cut it further for free: quality Customer service. And all of this was done in her home which is admirable. I will come back again for other tailoring needs.

I brought my wedding dress to Jeannie 6 years ago after David's Bridal Alteration department butchered my bustle and fitting. Not only was Jeannie able to correct the mistakes she altered my dress to fit and look beautifully. I could not have been more pleased. My dress was AMAZING!!! I have also been to her for several other small alterations and every time has been a wonderful experience. I would recommend her to anyone looking for any job big or small.

Jeannie designed and created my daughter's Madrigal renaissance costume and it was amazing. She is a complete professional and will give you perfection. Jeannie is kind, patient, and generous and stands by her work 100%. She altered my daughter's prom dress as well and it was covered with beads. But she removed the beads, altered the dress, and re-beaded the dress and it was completely unnoticeable. You can get anything made or altered here and you will be so happy. Prices are completely reasonable and service is fast! Plus it is great fun getting to know Jeannie and her family. You will love them all!

I met Jeannie's a few weeks ago when I needed to find someone to alter some East Indian outfits I had bought to wear for upcoming weddings. I located her based on the yelp reviews and decided to take a chance. I am so happy that I did! Jeannie is very detail oriented and precise with her work - my Sari fits me beautifully as does the blouse - it's custom fitted now and I received many compliments on it as the wedding reception I attended this past weekend. I am also have her alter other Sari's and we will be visiting her to have alterations on suits as well. I had some polo's printed for my business, however they fit way too loose. I spent a lot of money getting my logo embroidered on them and wasn't going to be able to wear them! I had my wedding dress altered here, and it was amazing! She basically had to take the whole dress apart to hem it and let it out on the sides, and while I was a little nervous about my dress in pieces, the finished product fit perfectly and looked amazing! The alterations were a little pricey, due to all the work that went into it, but well worth every dollar for me!

Bought my daughter her flower girl dress online and once it got here was 2 sizes to big ! With the wedding only 2 weeks away I was freaking out but thankful Jeannie completely re-made this dress in a very timely manner . My daughter got so many compliments and dress fit perfectly . Jeannie does oh so much more than wedding dresses! I recently purchased a Victorian style skirt and blouse set in a consignment shop that I just loved but it was a size 14 and I wear a size 12. I took the outfit to Jeannie who fitted it to me during one visit, and it was a perfect fit when I picked it up about a week after the initial visit. She is extremely observant during fittings (she noticed that one of my shoulders sits higher than the other which makes one sleeve hang lower than the other). To say she is meticulous is an understatement. Such quality work for a very reasonable price (my alteration was about $22). I highly recommend Jeannie for any clothing alterations or design - you will not be disappointed!

I really can't say enough positive things about her or the work she did. She helped me decided how my dress should be altered. I was on a time crunch due to being in a wedding in two weeks. My bridesmaid dress was too long and needed it hemmed. After searching yelp, I found Jeannie and called her. She was available to meet me within 20 minutes of my call! She is very knowledgeable and designs and alters based on your body and not by how much you need hemmed. One side of my hips is lower than the other and Jeannie spotted it out without me having to tell her.

I was worried about having enough time to hem my dress because the wedding is in 2 weeks but she told me she could have to to me as early as the next day if I needed it that soon. I didn't and she told me the following week. In exactly a week she moved into her new studio and hemmed my dress in the timeframe she quoted.

Jeannie typically designs wedding dresses, and alters bridesmaid dresses, but my best friend and I came in for simple hems and strap adjustments on (less fancy) dresses and a jumpsuit we planned to wear for her 21st birthday in Vegas.
We called for an appointment and she was able to meet us in 20-30 minutes. While we expressed our concerns with each outfit, she was completely honest in her recommendations and what she felt comfortable with. She is extremely detail orientated and a perfectionist, even for something that seemed so small (this is a good thing ladies!!). We were able to pick up our 5 dresses after 10 days, and the quality of work was AMAZING. Not only was the alteration service great, her client service is even better. She's one of the friendliest women I know, and she genuinely cares about knowing her clients, making them feel welcome and beautiful!!

I will 100% be back if I ever need work done, she is unbeatable. I recommend!!!

While I wasn't able to afford her services, I took that as I wasn't her target client, which wasn't a problem on my side. Everything about my experience with her was very positive, so much so that even though it was out of my price range, I still give her a solid 5 stars.
